I like to read two books at a time: one fun fiction book and one that’s knowledge-building. A few chapters of each grace my bedtime routine. I used to be a physical copy snob, but lately I’m hooked on my Kindle. I find it much more convenient, and it keeps my nightstand way less cluttered.
Skipping the “Oh, I’m just not a reader,” or “I just don’t have time,” is surprisingly simple. Swap 15-20 minutes of your daily scrolling time with getting lost in a book, and you’ll realize how easy it is to be a “reader.” Chances are, you’ll stumble upon a genre, author, or series that you love!
I asked some of my closest friends their recs. Here is a list of our all-time favorites:
Romance Novels:
Historical Fiction:
Fantasy Fiction:
Mystery:
Thriller:
Beach reads:
The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo
Self-Help + Knowledge Building:
Devotions:
New Morning Mercies
